We love each other,
But we were never meant to stay.
We care for one another,
But the future we dreamed, we had to lay away.
We miss each other,
But our paths no longer cross.
We have chosen our separate roads.
We’ve decided to live with the lives we chose.
Yet still, in silence,
We send prayers toward one another’s name.
This is who we are now—
Two souls at peace with the distance,
Choosing this path,
And learning to cherish it.
