The thing I feared has finally happened.
We are slowly drifting apart.
We are both trying to forget each other.
Now, there is no more laughter between us.
You continue your life without me.
And so do I.
I don’t even know how you are anymore,
as if you’ve vanished into the universe.
This is the second time it has happened.
But maybe it’s the last,
because we tried—
and failed again.
At least we once tried,
even if the ending stayed the same.
